How
we work

We attend to context and the needs of those who arrive, assuming various forms: intensive exploration laboratories, collaborative accompaniments with organizations, and co-creation of projects that eventually acquire their own autonomy.

From relational holding, not from predefined protocols. We hold devices where new capacities to perceive, relate and respond emerge, and where what each contributes modifies the shared weave.

Through a mixed economy that articulates different forms of value, this approach unfolds in three realms:

PROJECTS

Initiatives that emerge from encounter and, at times, develop until they acquire autonomy of their own.

CONSULTANCY

Collaborative processes with organizations seeking profound transformation, not merely new strategies.

CAPACITY-BUILDING

Laboratories of exploration where learning emerges from encounter and shared experimentation.

Some initiatives born at ParamitaLab grow until they become autonomous: they develop identity, structure and community of their own. They are intentional gestures before the challenges of our time—not hasty responses, but forms of cultivating disposition for the futures that are emerging.

Initiatives

with Their Own Life

C.A.S.A. Reggello

From an old factory to Open Artistic-Social Center

Physical and social space in Reggello, Florence, where creativity, European connections and inclusion converge. It unfolds through the act of inhabiting it, leveraging creative practice to address contemporary urgencies through collaboration between diverse communities.

WellSpaces Network for Youth

From design for safety → to design for hope → to design for wise agency

A network composed of 25 organizations in 15 countries that links local youth initiatives with conversations on regional and EU policies. It connects grassroots youth work with public policy dialogue across Europe, considering wellbeing and mental health as an entry point for systemic change.

Studio Atelierista

Making visible the intangible

Through immersive creative residencies that bring together people from diverse disciplines, it cultivates relational and creative capacities within social fields. Participants explore dimensions of knowing that conventional approaches cannot reach, giving shape to innovative ways of responding to complex social challenges.

This work is sustained collectively and in diversified ways.

Internally, through a constant practice of supervision and intervision among those of us who imagine, think and do ParamitaLab.

Economically, through a deliberate mixture of paid work that holds the infrastructure, initiatives in the spirit of the gift that nourish experimentation, and participation in European collaboration programs.

This diversity of forms of support is not arbitrary: it directly reflects the type of work we do and the diversity of publics and contexts with which we collaborate.

Collaborations

We work in close collaboration with

Antigóna — our main ally: Organization founded in 2008 that develops projects of solidarity and inclusion at the local, European and global level, integrating social, digital and formative dimensions.

European Networks — Through Erasmus+ and other European Commission programs, we participate in transnational projects that nourish shared learning and collective experimentation around inclusion and capacity-building.

"Giving space, clearing places: this is what grounds and guides all building. The 'between' is not an additional third, but the relation itself that gathers the two in their being-turned toward one another."
— Martin Heidegger
